Formed in 2023 and located on The NSW Central Coast, the band members each have decades of music performance experience.
The Giraffe band generally looks to perform in the areas of northern Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter Valley. We are willing and keen to travel further afield in the right circumstances.
The Video.
Recent gig at Hardy’s Bay Club, here we are in fine form with the Blondie song ‘I Want That Man’.
The Music.
From across the decades, we have curated a collection of well known popular songs, which are not the usual ones you might expect. We might often look at a song and give it a stylish twist, and sometimes we think it is best done much like the original. An upbeat rock song might now be a blues ballad, or west coast rock might become bossa nova.
Our repertoire is suited for casual listening as well as good old party dancing. A set might start off with a few cooler numbers, but will have your crowd up and dancing in no time.
Shows.
We usually play up to 3 sets of approximately 50 minutes, over a period of about 3.5 hours.
Meet The Band.
Tanya – vocal
Graham K – bass
Kees – electric drums
Graham C – guitar

Audience.
Giraffe appeals broadly, and the band sees itself primarily performing at a range of public venues and private functions.
We are very conscious of sound volume, and with an electronic drum kit we can provide a well balanced sound at comfortable volumes for smaller spaces.
Equipment.
The band brings a road crew member, and provides its own lighting and audio with a 2000 Watt front-of-house sound system. This can comfortably provide adequate sound for functions up to 250 people.
Staging.
Please note that a band performance includes setup and pull down time. This often equates to being on site for 7-8 hrs, a full working day.
We require at least 2.5 hrs to setup, and 1.5 hrs to pull down.
Charges.
Fees are negotiable depending on your requirements.
